HELLO.
My name is Tega, and I’m based in Newcastle upon Tyne one of the most quietly productive cities in England.
I’ve worn a lot of hats over the years. Podcast host. Back-end developer. Operator. Problem solver. The common thread across all of it wasn’t the roles—it was the systems behind them.
Early on, I realized something most people learn the hard way: trying to do everything yourself is not a badge of honor, it’s a bottleneck. What consistently moved the needle was hiring the right people for what I didn’t know how to do and building repeatable, automated systems for the things I did.
So I leaned into that.
Over time, I became very good at delegation, workflow design, and automation not in a theoretical sense, but in a “this needs to work under pressure” sense. I learned how to turn chaos into structure, and effort into leverage.
Eventually, the pattern became obvious: other business owners were stuck where I used to be. Doing too much, managing too little, and burning energy on tasks that shouldn’t require their attention.
That’s when I made the pivot.
Today, I work with business owners around the world who want their operations to run cleaner, faster, and with far less friction. I help them design systems, delegate intelligently, and automate what should never depend on memory or motivation.
I’m not interested in hustle theatre or shiny tools for the sake of it. The work is about durability building operations that hold up as the business grows.
What Experience Taught Me
I’ve seen businesses grow quickly and burn out just as fast.
I’ve seen founders trapped inside their own success because nothing runs without them.
I’ve also seen the opposite — smaller businesses that move slower, but hold together. Teams that know what to do without constant direction. Systems that reduce noise instead of creating it.
The difference is rarely talent.
It’s design.
Durable businesses are designed, not improvised.
Why BYOB Exists
BYOB isn’t a productivity blog.
It’s a thinking space.
It’s where I write about structure, leverage, delegation, and durability — not because they’re trendy, but because they’re foundational.
The internet rewards noise and speed.
I’m more interested in clarity and staying power.
This site is my commitment to that standard.
I enjoy this work. I’m effective at it. And if you’re serious about building a business that doesn’t rely on you doing everything yourself, I can help you do the same.
Tega
